All about our club

Gildredge Park Bowling Club is set in delightful Gildredge Park, Eastbourne.   It has 12 rinks spread over two greens and a large clubhouse.  We are a thriving club who regularly play together in mixed matches as well as separate men's and ladies' matches.  The club runs 18 different competitions each year in a variety of formats as well as leagues.  Members compete in town, county and national competitions.  We host many visiting clubs and enjoy friendly competition with players from around the country.

Gildredge is known as the 'Friendly Club'.  We have an active social programme all year round, but particularly through the winter months when there is short mat bowls in the clubhouse 4 days per week along with weekly whist, bridge, table tennis, coffee mornings and other social events.

New members are very welcome and if you have not bowled before our qualified Club Coach and coaching team will show you how to play.

Experienced players will enjoy our internal matches and the opportunity to compete across the town, the county, and nationally.

The club celebrated its centenary in 2020.  Click on the history button to the right to read about our first 100 years
