2026 Club Competitions

How they work

Club members are offered a wide range of knock-out competitions:  singles, pairs, triples, handicaps, drawn, and fixed jack.  Also, there is the Thursday club day John Batten league that runs all summer for triples.

 

Individuals complete an entry form by the end of February.  A draw night is held in March which is a good social occasion.  The schedule of matches is posted and there are 'play by' dates for each round leading up to a grand finals weekend in September.

Rules of play

All club competitions are played in accordance with the standard rules of the sport of bowls.  These are published by World Bowls.  You can see the latest edition of the laws by clicking on the box to the right.  A printed copy of the laws can be found by the steward's desk in the clubhouse.

Handicap and markers list will be updated before the start of the outdoor season in April 2026
