Happy Christmas

It was like a Christmas jumper fashion show in the clubhouse as members arrived for the annual Christmas party. Here are a few. More below.

Petina and Bob had worked their Christmas socks off organising the event. They were helped by many others and club members contributed delicious dishes for the buffet and prizes for the raffle. Anita decorated the tables and produced the programme of events.

Photos below. Clockwise from top left: Petina and Anita, a table decoration, the order of events (click photo for full size)

Musical bingo, a snowman drive, singing, laughter, a stupendous buffet, a tipple or two and magnificent raffle prizes that stretched over five tables! What a wonderful club, and what a wonderful Christmas party it was at the celebrations on Saturday 16th December.

The buffet was incredible. Turkey, ham, salmon, vegetarian options, and bowl after bowl of delicious side dishes.

Some more jumpers. We could have had an advent calendar if we'd lined everyone up.

Entertainment from Dave's musical bingo and the snowman drive

Some more photos from the evening: clockwise from top left: Tim and Ian running the bar; one of three Christmas trees in the clubhouse; some decorations; Petina and Marilyn; Lydia and Richard; wall decorations.

Raffle

The incredible raffle. Five tables of prizes. Over £200 raised all of which is set aside to help fund next year's event.

And so it ended..

Exhausted elves need their beds. Sue and Bob in the kitchen.

Just the final clearing up to do. Arthur shows how to hoover properly.

Thank you to everyone in the club that made the Christmas party such a sucess.

Happy Christmas. There may be only six shopping days now before Christmas....but more importantly there are only just over 100 days before the greens open!
